Master Data Science and Engineering (SID)

The SID Master at the Université de Rouen Normandie (UFR des Sciences et Techniques) develops theoretical, computational, programming and analysis skills for mobile and embedded techs, through the general master's core and programming requirements. The Master program leverages the strengths of the LITIS lab (EA 4108), and the research institute Normastic (FR CNRS 3638) in machine learning, data mining, image and signal processing. The program is co-accredited with the INSA de Rouen, a renowned French school of engineering.

Students will learn to integrate skills with the aim of becoming high level executives, able to design, build and implement IT infrastructures and systems, aiming at collecting, storing, analyzing and interpreting data, so as to generate appropriate, real-time feedback, in changing business contexts.

This Master is part of the MINMACS graduate school, a joint graduate school of the mathematics and information sciences departments of the three major universities (Caen, Le Havre and Rouen) and Grande Ecoles (ENSICaen and INSA Rouen) in Normandy.

Master's program:

The Master SID curriculum is structured to be completed in 2 years. The first year is a base curriculum, with several options depending on the track chosen during the second year. The second year offers 2 track options:

Data Science (SD)

This track trains students in data science with a programming focus, for them to become engineer, consultant or researcher in data science, for different activity sectors: sofware edition, web services and e-business, public services, automobile, high-tech industry, or biomedical area. All courses are taught in English.

Computer & Mobile Systems Engineering (GIME)

This track trains students for them to become engineer with a specialization in mobile and embedded computer science, able to manage software and hardware projects for different activity sectors: security, communication, automation and control, robotics, home automation, aeronautics industry, transport, etc. All courses are taught in French.
